PIRDD & History’s Forgotten War

Most Americans do not know about PIRDD & History’s Forgotten War. That is not an error or overlooked omission. U.S. Citizens believe their country’s wars began when Congress declared them, troops deployed, and newspapers printed the headlines.

But that is just the safe, public version.

The Paranormal Investigation and Research Defense Division, better known as PIRDD, exists because many wars begin long before the public knows. Some are with known enemies. Others never enter the history books at all.

That is by design as well. The Hidden War still rages on and is beginning to spill over repeatedly.

What Is PIRDD?

PIRDD investigates, researches, and defends the United States against non-traditional threats, foreign and domestic. Those threats may involve hostile entities, occult organizations, anomalous technology, unexplained phenomena, or enemies combining dangerous, fringe-science with the occult. Typically, the kind that conventional militaries refuse to acknowledge or associate with.

The modern division grew from an older organization known as the Enlightenment. Its roots reach into the years before the American Revolution. Founded by Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and other early American leaders. Since they became aware that Britain’s increasing mistreatment of the American Colonies involved much more than soldiers, taxes, and political coercion by the crown.

However, all this began years before the First Continental Congress of 1774.

The Enlightenment

By 1785, the Enlightenment had become a formal (and the first secretive) organization operating beneath the newly independent nation.

Its members have included presidents, generals, clergy, scholars, scientists, inventors, and industrial leaders. Nikola Tesla, Henry Ford, Albert Einstein, and many lesser-known figures became connected to its hidden work.

Some were recruited for what they knew. Others were recruited because they had survived something impossible. But all knew that their work would go unheralded, even in the event of ultimate sacrifice.

Selected Classified Engagements

Only fragments of the Enlightenment’s operational history have survived outside its sealed archives. Most were destroyed when Canadian forces set fire to the capital in 1812. Known or suspected engagements include:

The Colonial Crisis: 1765-1788

Early Enlightenment networks investigated British attempts to destabilize the colonies through occult influence. Surviving reports connected members of the British royal family with a European werewolf bloodline. Since those reports are accompanied by a sealed commission from King George himself, it is hard to dispute the origin of those malcontents in North America.

The Revolutionary War became part military rebellion, part supernatural containment operation, and resulted in large numbers of casualties. Then the years following the end of open hostilities with the signing of the Treaty of Paris on 3 Sep. 1783, produced more casualties. However, low-level armed conflicts continued with loyal royal holdouts and the remnants of the werewolves until 1788. All hostilities ended on 4 Jul 1788 with the British Crown accepting responsibility for the werewolf mess, feeding them, and taking the Euro-trash back home.

The Canadian Bacon Incident: 1811-1815

British-controlled Canada shipped tainted and allegedly cursed preserved meat into the United States. But as retaliation for kicking their asses in 1776-1785. However, the resulting outbreaks helped to ignite the War of 1812.

Official histories blamed maritime disputes, trade restrictions, and territorial tensions. Because it was considered “false breakfast meat” and was considered to be diplomatic malfeasance.

The First Vampire War: 1841-1876

A major vampire network exploited American slavery as political cover and a renewable food supply. The hidden conflict deepened the division that eventually erupted into the Civil War. It ended with the destruction of a prime vampire, while tens of thousands of supernatural casualties were quietly added to Confederate prisoner of war camps, such as Andersonville’s already astronomical death toll.

President Abraham Lincoln was responsible for instituting the first military draft, which helped swell the ranks of regular military units of the North. But it also allowed more opportunities for the Enlightenment to recruit from active service, promising minds and soldiers. President Lincoln was a steadfast supporter and member of the Enlightenment. Later, after the official war, Generals Ulysses S. Grant, William Tecumseh Sherman, and a mix of high-level Union and Confederate officers joined the cause.

The Second Vampire War: 1898-1902

During the Spanish-American War, Enlightenment teams dismantled European witchcraft covens operating throughout Spain’s remaining colonial territories. The conflict expanded into Mexico, where the government was already fighting its own vampire infestation. This conflict would lead teams to the Virgin Islands, Cuba, Guam, and the Philippine Islands.

Secret postwar negotiations allowed the United States to legally purchase huge tracts of land in Arizona, Nevada, and California. Since the Mexican government was on the verge of collapse, the treaty gave them access to money, weapons, badly needed supplies, and veteran specialists.

The Enlightenment was given carte blanche operational access within Mexican borders. Also, they desperately wanted officers to advise why some banditos just didn’t have the good grace to lie down no matter how many times you shot them.

This secret war was much quicker. Former enemies, Union and Confederate soldiers melded into a premiere suckhead-elimination machine.

The Great Death (The Great War): 1911-1919

Uprisings in the Philippines, followed by leaps in German weapons development, led to more investigations. The Enlightenment found evidence of demonic influence in Russia, Germany, and colonies of the former German empire. Grotesque and vile battlefield experimentation and escalating atrocities spiked in 1915-1916. The precise levels of influence remain disputed.

The Great War began in 1914 and unleashed killing at a never-before-seen industrial scale. Also, across the globe in the U.S.-Mexico region, the Pancho Villa Expedition was conducted by future Enlightenment leadership, Dwight D. Eisenhower and George S. Patton, led by veteran Enlightenment commander, General John J. Pershing.

The Enlightenment was stretched thin, containing the demonic influence. Since humanity was already displaying impressive ability to scale wholesale slaughter without outside assistance.

Operation Shield: 1939-1957

British intelligence uncovered enough Nazi occult experimentation to request American assistance before the United States officially entered World War II. At Winston Churchill’s persistent urging, the Enlightenment began a covert economic campaign against Adolf Hitler, the Third Reich, and the Thule Society.

Dwight D. Eisenhower cooperated with British agencies fighting the Nazi occult threat. But in 1942, under extreme pressure from President Franklin D. Roosevelt, George C. Marshall folded the depleted remnants of the Enlightenment into a permanent military black project under the Department of Defense. So was the birth of the modern PIRDD military structure, funding, and access to personnel and resources at home and abroad with NATO allies after the official war.

However, Nazi researchers were not simply gathering items of legends and artifacts of power, or staging bizarre rituals for propaganda. They combined advanced science, black magic, human sacrifice, demonic influence, and recovered artifacts in an occult arms race. Some of the experiments worked far better than anyone expected, Nazis or Allied.

Operation Shield continued long after the public collapse of Nazi Germany. It finally came to an end on 21 Dec. 1957, with Hitler’s assassination and the capture of the remaining Thule Society leadership in Brazil and Northern Argentina.

Japan Side-Note: 1941

While Japan officially declared war AFTER attacking American bases and interests across the Pacific. The top-secret original letter of declaration of war is listed at the very top, PIRDD’s inexcusable act of not recognizing Emperor Hirohito as a divine godhead of Imperial Japan. The publicly available version has had the god nonsense removed for secrecy. A grave insult that they still refuse to discuss more than a century later.

The Korean Consumption Crisis: 1950-1955

PIRDD personnel were called in to investigate an alarming number of reports of cannibalism during the Korean Conflict. Occupied villages that were liberated all told similar stories; flesh-eating communist troops were supported by a Chinese black sorcerer.

Missing soldiers and mutilated remains were attributed to combat losses, exposure, collateral civilian casualties, and animals scavenging. Bureaucracy once again proved more powerful than force of arms and supernatural horror was avert through superior paperwork.

Dugout Doug, commanding general of the U.N. forces, once followed Presidential orders to save his own skin during the fall of the Philippines in WWII, now defied the Commander-in-Chief order for no nukes used on the Korean peninsula. With no Imperial Japanese army breathing down his neck in Corrigador, Dugout Doug ordered nukes to be dropped on the flesh-eating commies immediately.

He was permanently relieved of command the following day on 11 Apr 1951.

French Indochina Operations (Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam): 1955-1975

PIRDD teams, at the request of CIA, confronted additional flesh-eating communist units, ritualistic human sacrifice, hostile entities, and evidence that Grigori Rasputin was active again despite several previous deaths. His movement and activities suggested that the Cold War and the spread of Communism was also being used as cover for the much older conflict.

These were not isolated and unrelated incidents. They were campaigns within the hidden war that began before the United States existed and continued regardless of whatever conventional armies declared victory.

PIRDD & History’s Forgotten War: The Modern Conflict

PIRDD & History’s Forgotten War has been carefully documented and archived since the burning of the nation’s capital during the War of 1812. Since then, PIRDD does not recruit from a branch of the military or profession. Its personnel include soldiers, pilots, engineers, scientists, medical specialists, clergy, mechanics, intelligence officers, and civilian sector specialists. Some are selected because of extraordinary skills. But others come to PIRDD’s attention after witnessing something that should not exist and they should not have survived.

First Lieutenant Daniel Penn enters that world after surviving an impossible attack in Argentina. Also, it leaves members of his Green Beret team dead and the official explanation is deliberately incomplete. He does not join PIRDD because he trusts its leadership. He joins because Brigadier General Alexander Winters offers something the conventional military cannot provide: answers. He is promoted to the rank of captain, given resources, and the authority to start fighting back.

Those resources include advanced, experimental aircraft, experimental body armor, specialized weapons, specialized personnel, and equipment to do his job. PIRDD’s personnel and equipment carry the same flat-black, non-reflective appearance as the organization itself: functional, concealed, and largely absent from the public record.

PIRDD & History’s Forgotten War: Current Operations

PIRDD teams do more than examine strange artifacts inside secure laboratories. They deploy, investigate, recover, contain, and destroy. When the impossible becomes operational, PIRDD is expected to make it survivable. However, secrecy creates dangers of its own.

PIRDD hides monsters from the public, but it also conceals compromised operations, failed experiments, questionable science, and poor choices that could destroy careers or topple governments. Its leaders possess enormous authority, its files are heavily classified, and even its field personnel rarely receive the complete story.

That tension defines PIRDD & History’s Forgotten War.

It may be the shield standing between humanity and forces most people dismiss as superstitious. Also, it may be one of the few organizations powerful enough to create new threats while trying to contain the old problems.

In Countdown to Armageddon: The Book of Daniel, PIRDD opens the door to the hidden war. What waits beyond that door is not simple folklore and legends.

But is has been shaping human history for centuries.
